1. Product introduction:
Ferro Zirconium Alloy is produced by vacuum melting of sponge zirconium and pure iron as raw materials. It is mainly used in metallurgical industry to play its powerful role of deoxidation, nitrogen removal and sulfur removal. The alloy has good corrosion resistance, moderate mechanical properties, and low atomic thermal neutron absorption cross section in high temperature and pressure water and steam at 300-400°C.
In addition, zirconium has excellent corrosion resistance to a variety of acids, bases and salts, and has strong affinity for gases such as oxygen and nitrogen, so zirconium alloys are also used in the manufacture of corrosion resistant parts and pharmaceutical mechanical parts, and are widely used as non-evaporative degassing agents in the electric vacuum and light bulb industries.
Ferro Zirconium Alloy readily absorbs hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen; zirconium has a strong affinity for oxygen, and oxygen dissolved in zirconium at 1000°C can increase its volume significantly. Its surface easily forms a layer of oxide film and has a luster, so its appearance is similar to steel. It is also corrosion resistant, but is soluble in hydrofluoric acid and aqua regia. At high temperature, it can react with non-metallic elements and many metallic elements to produce solid solution.
This material has good plasticity and can be easily processed into plates, wires, etc. It can absorb a large amount of oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen and other gases when heated, and can be used as hydrogen storage material. In addition, it has better corrosion resistance than titanium and is close to niobium and tantalum.

4. Product application:
Zirconium ferroalloy is mainly used in steelmaking, NdFeB magnetic materials in the addition of zirconium element, metallurgy casting, welding industry. Reduce the influence of oxygen, nitrogen and sulfur in steel. It can improve the high temperature and corrosion resistance of conductive materials.Zirconium acts like titanium in cast iron. It forms zirconium carbide, which combines with sulfur to form sulfides. Accelerates the formation of graphite on cooling.
