2. Introduction

Copper Boron Master Alloy is a highly effective boron additive for copper processing. It is also one of the important intermediate alloys for deoxidizing copper alloys, improving corrosion resistance and increased strength. It is also an important additive for cast iron parts to improve hardness and corrosion resistance. A small amount of boron (0.005-0.05%wt) can significantly improve the strength and corrosion resistance of copper. Now it is widely used in the production and processing of cooling copper tubes in generator sets.


3. Product Features

1. Copper Boron Master Alloy can completely eliminate the coarse columnar crystals in the cast state of brass. Apparently, refine the grain, improve the organization of the casting denseness, reduce the tendency of loosening, improve the airtightness of the casting. Improve the strength and plasticity of copper table gold, reduce or eliminate the cracking tendency of plastic deformation, improve the rate of material formation.

2. The brass liquid has a very good purification effect, can be combined with the copper liquid impurity elements to generate compounds to discharge, or make the impurity diffusion distribution, reduce the impurity in the grain boundary segregation, improve the mechanical properties of the material.

3. It has a unique chemisorption effect and high affinity for gas atoms, which can quickly combine with the gas atoms in the copper liquid to generate compounds for discharge, reducing the tendency of subcutaneous pores and surface pores to form.

4. Improving the fluidity of the copper liquid, has a significant effect on the improvement of the surface quality of the casting, and can effectively solve the phenomenon of surface pitting.

5. The melting point of this product is slightly lower than that of brass, so it melts quickly, with less burn loss, and is easy and safe to operate.

6. The effect of refining the ingots with this product does not decline after repeated remelting.


4. Product application:

Used for copper alloy in the addition of boron element, coin belt, filling alloy and other fields and industries. Its high purity ensures that the elements need to be added without introducing any impurities into the base material products. The importance and main uses of boron - copper alloys

(1). Boron copper alloy is mainly used as additives or deoxidizing degassing agent for all kinds of boron elements (such as thermal spraying (welding) self-melting alloy, high temperature brazing alloy, amorphous soft magnetic alloy, amorphous resistance alloy, powder metallurgy, boron steel, etc.).

(2). Boron copper alloy is a kind of high efficient boron additive used in copper processing. Small amount of boron (0.005-0.05%wt) can significantly improve the strength and corrosion resistance of copper. Alloys are characterized by high specific weight and high utilization of boron.

For example, copper and boron 2% alloys are excellent ways to improve the quality of copper alloys and brass. The element is also more effective than other deoxidizers, such as phosphorus, lithium or magnesium, so less boron is needed per kilogram of oxygen to achieve the same deoxidizing effect. In copper alloys, boron also retards grain growth during heating. In addition, boron facilitates pouring and filling. It reacts with many elements present in the melt to form products that are usually insoluble compounds dispersed as fine particles by the melt that acts as a nucleating agent. Boron increases mechanical properties and improves the internal stability of brass castings.
