45 Ferrosilicon Powder is one of the important raw materials indispensable for steel industry, the main role is deoxidation and alloying. It is formed by continuous smelting in electric furnaces, batch addition of furnace charge, intermittent iron pouring and co-flow of iron slag. It conforms to GB/T2272-2009, and the content is between 4~6. The addition of this metal powder is more helpful to enhance the deoxidation of welding rod and reduce the interference of oxygen in welding.
It is mainly used for welding electrodes of low temperature steel and its preparation method. In order to improve the low-temperature impact toughness of the weld deposited metal, 45 Ferrosilicon Powder strictly control the impurity elements such as sulfur, phosphorus, oxygen and nitrogen in the deposited metal; at the same time, the addition of rare earth elements in the flux skin to further achieve the role of sulfur removal, phosphorus and grain refinement, thereby further improving the low-temperature impact toughness of the deposited metal.
